Governor Of Kebbi Issues Stern Warning To Bandits And Their Supporters....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has firmly declared that there will be no clemency for individuals found guilty of providing assistance to bandits within the state. The announcement was made by Idris during a visit to Tudun Bichi in Wasagu Chiefdom of Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area on Saturday, where he sympathized with residents over the repeated bandit attacks in the area.

Expressing his anger towards the treacherous actions of informants, Governor Idris emphasized his resolve to authorize the execution of convicted informants. He condemned the betrayal of community trust, stating that some individuals, motivated by mere financial gain, betray their own people by supplying valuable information to bandits, thereby facilitating violence and bloodshed.

Idris unequivocally stated, “I will neither tolerate nor show leniency towards such unscrupulous individuals. Let it be clear to all informants that anyone found guilty of providing information to bandits resulting in the loss of innocent lives will face swift and decisive justice, with their death warrants signed without delay.”

In a related development, Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, expressed concern over the alarming trend of bandits recruiting Nigerian youths for meager sums as low as ₦500. Speaking during an appearance on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Friday, Governor Radda attributed the surge in banditry, particularly in the North-West region, to widespread poverty.

Governor Radda dismissed assertions of political motives behind the banditry issues and instead underscored the economic desperation driving vulnerable youths into criminal activities. He emphasized the urgent need for comprehensive measures to address the root causes of poverty and unemployment, which fuel the recruitment of youths by criminal elements.
