He provided this clarification during his speech at the 2022-2023 Alex Otti Scholarship scheme event, which took place at the Sacramento Event Centre in Olokoro, Umuahia South.
He pointed out that he initiated this humanitarian initiative over seven years ago, prior to his tenure as Governor, and he is committed to continuing it.
Governor Otti’s motivation for this initiative stems from his empathy for underprivileged young individuals seeking educational opportunities.
He considers this effort his personal contribution to shaping the future of these youths and pledged to maintain it as long as he receives grace, emphasizing the importance of making a positive impact in life rather than amassing wealth
