Taking to his social media handle, the governor expressed his delight, stating, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to #funkeakindele for the phenomenal success of ‘A Tribe Called Judah.’ This film has not only shattered box office records by becoming the first Nigerian movie to earn 1 billion naira in domestic theaters, but it also stands as a story of growth, reflecting the spirit of Nollywood and Nigeria.”

Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the significant role played by women in the film industry, as “A Tribe Called Judah” is a female-led initiative. He commended the cast, including Timini Egbuson, Jide Kene Achufusi, Uzee Usman, Tobi Makinde, Olumide Oworu, Genoveva Umeh, Nse Ikpe Etim, Juliana Olayode, Uzor Arukwe, Fathia Balogun, Yvonne Jegede, and others, as well as the exceptional crew for their contributions.
