Grammy Buzz! Omah Lay Reacts Casually To Prestigious Nomination

The rising star, nominated alongside Davido for their song “With You,” is contending in the Best African Music Performance category at the 68th Grammy Awards.
In an Instagram post, Omah Lay expressed excitement over the recognition but emphasized that awards are not his main focus. He added that his biggest wish is for Davido to win, highlighting the strong friendship and support he has received from the music icon.
He wrote:
“I’m excited about this Grammy nomination haha, but fr fr I don’t give a sh!t about awards. Yeah, but I really want it for OBO! He’s the realest friend I’ve had in a while; he stood by me during my hardest times.”
Davido, who has previously received four Grammy nominations, is still chasing his first win.
The 68th Grammy Awards will take place on February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and will be broadcast globally on CBS and streamed live on Paramount Plus.
