During a courtesy call by the management team of AFRILABS, a high-tech company, the Deputy Speaker revealed this initiative over the weekend.
In a statement from his Chief Press Secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu, Kalu explained that the mechanism is part of the conscious effort by the legislature to effectively scrutinize the performance of budgetary allocations to government agencies.
Kalu emphasized that the application will be utilized in the House’s oversight functions, allowing lawmakers to monitor activities in various MDAs from their offices while heading their committees.
He highlighted that this innovation will transform oversight functions, moving beyond traditional paper-based submissions to continuous real-time analysis of the agencies’ activities.
