the group, through its publicity secretary, Ogunika Taiwo, cautioned that any deviation from the agreed resolution would be viewed as insubordination and blatant disrespect.
Taiwo emphasized the necessity for Aiyedatiwa to avoid actions that could destabilize the administration and hinder Ondo State’s progress.
Expressing dismay over perceived discontent within Aiyedatiwa’s camp, particularly among his aides and close allies, the group underscored the significance of unity and adherence to decisions made during the meeting with Tinubu.
It called for collective efforts to advance the state’s interests and development.
While expressing confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, OPN urged Aiyedatiwa to prioritize the welfare and progress of the state over personal ambitions, cautioning against actions that might undermine the administration’s unity.
The group welcomed the peace initiatives led by President Tinubu and considered the resolutions as a commendable compromise benefiting the people and facilitating governance.
Expressing concern about rumored plots to declare Aiyedatiwa as acting governor against the Abuja resolutions, OPN deemed such actions insubordinate and disrespectful to the office of the President.
The group advised Aiyedatiwa to resist the lure of desperation for power, emphasizing that continuing as deputy governor without forcibly taking over power aligned with the interests of the people and the state.
Addressing potential disobedience of the President’s directive, the group discouraged any exchange of money and urged adherence to Ondo State’s known integrity and principles.
It called for peace to prevail in Ondo State and urged Aiyedatiwa to rein in his followers and allies, questioning the necessity of pursuing the acting governorship role when assured of staying in office until the end of the tenure.
