Group Urges Withdrawal Of Delta State Governorship Election Petition Against Governor Oborevwori

A group known as Concerned Deltans in Abuja has called upon the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State and other political parties to withdraw their case against Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the ongoing Delta State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

The group expressed that while aggrieved parties have the right to seek legal recourse, it is in the best interest of Delta State to support Oborevwori, characterizing the litigations against the Governor as “a waste of time and resources in the governance of the state….CONTINUE READING

 

In a statement signed by the President, Dcn. Chijioke Isiekwene, and Secretary, Mr. David Okiokio in Abuja, the group emphasized its confidence in the Election Petition Tribunal upholding Oborevwori’s election as the true choice of the people, citing his six years of credible leadership in the Legislative Arm and his ability to unify constituencies.

The Concerned Deltans in Abuja called on the APC and other political parties to halt their litigation against Oborevwori’s election and instead collaborate with the Governor to advance Delta State’s prosperity and progress. They urged all well-meaning Deltans to support the Governor and his administration in propelling the state to its destined glory.
