The students, from the University of Maiduguri and the University of Jos, were ambushed by the gunmen around 5:30 p.m. in the Otukpo area of the state.
Benue State Police Command spokesperson, SP Catherine Anene, confirmed the kidnapping, stating that the incident was reported between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. An investigation into the abduction is currently underway.
