Speaking during the service, the duo alleged that they had been influenced by two of the clergyman’s enemies, who promised to sponsor their trip to the U.S. if they publicly dragged him.

Recall that the Happie Boys rose to fame in 2023 after being dismissed from their security jobs for dancing while on duty. Their viral plea for help caught Apostle Chinyere’s attention, and he offered them scholarships to study in Turkey.

However, the relationship soured after the boys accused the clergyman of abandoning them in Cyprus, claiming he only supported them for six months before withdrawing. Apostle Chinyere, in his defence, explained that the harsh economic downturn had made it difficult to sustain their funding, urging them to either return to Nigeria or transfer to Benin Republic to continue their studies — an option they rejected.

Now, it seems the rift has been resolved, as the Happie Boys not only attended his church service but also mounted the pulpit to speak before the congregation.
