He Nearly Ended My Appointment!” Desmond Elliot Reacts To Gbajabiamila’s Tinubu Revelation

Elliot made the apology on Friday during an appearance on Your View, stating that any misunderstanding between them was never deliberate.
The apology follows tensions connected to the leadership crisis within the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Gbajabiamila had previously disclosed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu questioned him over reports allegedly linking Elliot to the Assembly speakership controversy, an allegation the actor-turned-politician had denied.
During the interview, Elliot described Gbajabiamila as his political mentor and “egbon,” saying he learned much of his political journey under his guidance.
“I know people may say Desmond is apologising again, but yes, he is my elder brother,” Elliot said. “Everything I know about politics today, I learned through him.”
He admitted that misunderstandings and mistakes are sometimes inevitable in political relationships and appealed for forgiveness.
“To err is human, to forgive is divine. So, my daddy, if I have offended you in any way, I am sorry,” he said.
Elliot also extended an apology to what he described as the “matriarch of Surulere,” asking for forgiveness if he had offended her in any way.
Despite the controversy, the lawmaker reaffirmed his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress and pledged to continue working for the development of Surulere.
According to him, his achievements and contributions to the constituency remain visible to residents.
The Lagos Assembly leadership crisis had earlier sparked serious internal disagreements within the APC before party leaders eventually intervened to restore calm.
