In a surprising twist of political events, Daniel Bwala, the vocal spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) 2023 Presidential Campaign Organization, has set tongues wagging with his unexpected visit to the presidential villa, sparking speculation about a potential shift in his political allegiance. Notably, Bwala praised the President’s swift response to a recent corruption scandal, hailing the actions taken as commendable. Adding a touch of humor to the discourse, Bwala hinted at the possibility of joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) to support President Tinubu, acknowledging the President’s commitment to anti-corruption measures and sound economic policies.

Bwala speaking to his followers on X: Today I was delighted to meet @officialABAT, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, (GCFR) in the Villa to show appreciation and support for the bold decisions he is taking to deal with the crisis confronting our dear country.”

It is worth noting that Daniel Bwala, previously a staunch supporter of President Tinubu, diverted his allegiance to Atiku Waziri Abubakar of the PDP during the campaign. This move was attributed to concerns about the Muslim-Muslim ticket employed by his former boss, a decision that ultimately led to Tinubu’s victorious outcome in the election as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Nigerians are currently expressing their feelings towards this unexpected development via their social media handles;

Dr Dipo tweeted: “Okupe left LP two days ago. Today, Daniel Bwala has signalled he is going back to APC. The online millionaires who stopped giving their parents feeding money might learn before 2027 that politics of bitterness achieves nothing in Nigeria. I hope your parents will forgive you.”

Woye, a known member of the APC stated: “Next person is Bro Ile -Ife after Daniel Bwala. 2: FG not Tinubu forgives sha. 3: Wait for the Gossip Studio tomorrow, their May Guy don port. 4: sad news for PDP boys and girls.”

Akin Akinwale: “Daniel Bwala couldn’t stay hungry for a year. This is my 5th year that I no give His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde face. The only loyal supporter of Atiku I know is SodiqTade. Not even Dino Melaye.”

Hamma: “Honestly now I am beginning to believe that Tinubu is a political maestro. He sent Bwala to PDP to get intelligence and also sent Doyin Okupe to deceive Peter Obi in order to get a divided opposition. The two agents all came out same week.”

Nerfiti: “From today, I don’t want to hear any PDP Boy disturb our peace on Twitter. Atiku’s bagmen should shut up! Daniel Bwala & Reno O’Mockery have gone back to Tinubu. PDP Boys have finally accepted defeat. There are only two types of politicians in Nigeria. Peter Obi & the rest.”

El Bonga: “Last year, Bwala said he left APC because of Muslim-Muslim ticket which he considered to be insensitive and lacking inclusivity. He added that even when he was in APC, he’d always been a pro-Atiku. Today, he is back to the same APC he once tagged as insensitive and undemocratic.”

Sodiq Tade: “Bwala joined PDP days after PDP primaries, and he was appointed as Atiku’s spokesperson. It is worrisome to read now that Bwala is now supporting Tinubu administration, and he is even considering moving to APC any moment from now. These are the people around my man. Sigh”

He continued: “Tinubu is a politician. You have to give it to him. He met with Bwala, probably for optics, and to demoralise the opposition members. So people can say that Atiku’s spokesperson is now in Tinubu’s camp. Obi’s right-hand man, Doyin Okupe, may be the next. May opposition survive!.”
