He Will Never Betray Nigerians – Israel DMW Defends Davido Amid APC Support Rumours

Israel DMW, logistics manager to Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has dismissed rumours that the singer is secretly working for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general election.

According to Bush Radio Academy, Israel made the clarification in a post on his Instagram page on Sunday, describing the claims as fabricated stories allegedly circulated to attract attention and generate engagement on social media.

The statement comes amid public debate over Davido’s political position following his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, declaring support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.

Israel maintained that the governor’s political decision should not be taken as evidence that Davido had changed his own position or agreed to support the ruling party.

He further claimed that the singer had turned down offers worth millions of dollars to endorse presidential candidates, insisting that Davido remained committed to standing with Nigerians amid the country’s economic challenges.

“Dearest Nigerians, kindly disregard the useless rumours going around that Oga has been secretly or is currently working for the APC.

“All are totally fabricated lies to gain social media traffic. His earlier stance still remains.

“Oga has rejected several millions of dollars to endorse any of the presidential candidates. He keeps saying he would be with Nigerians, who are going through a lot, and that he would never betray them at all. What else do Nigerians want again?” Israel stated.

The logistics manager also reiterated that, according to him, Davido would not support the APC in the forthcoming election.

The clarification follows discussions on social media about the relationship between the singer’s political position and that of his uncle, whose declaration of support for Tinubu has attracted reactions from Nigerians.

However, Israel’s comments represent his account of Davido’s position, while the claims about alleged financial offers to the singer have not been independently verified.
