Trump praised Kennedy for his commitment to addressing public health issues, particularly the impact of harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives. According to Trump, these factors have significantly contributed to the country’s ongoing health crisis.

In his statement, Trump said: “I am thrilled to announce Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation regarding public health.”

He further emphasized the importance of HHS in safeguarding Americans’ health, adding, “The safety and health of all Americans is the most important role of any administration. HHS will play a big role in ensuring that everyone is protected from harmful substances that contribute to the overwhelming health crisis in this country.”

Trump also noted that Kennedy would work to restore agencies within the HHS to their roots of “Gold Standard Scientific Research” and transparency, with a goal of ending the chronic disease epidemic and improving the nation’s overall health.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a prominent member of the Kennedy family, being the son of the late U.S. Attorney General and Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and the nephew of assassinated U.S. President John F. Kennedy, as well as Senator Ted Kennedy.
