Honesty Or Selfishness? Teju Babyface Sh*cks Fans With Take On Cheating Confessions
Nigerian comedian and media personality, Teju Oyelakin, popularly known as Teju Babyface, has argued that confessing infidelity to a spouse brings no value to the relationship.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
In a post shared on Instagram, Teju Babyface advised his fans never to admit cheating to their partners, insisting that such confessions are among the gravest mistakes in marriage. He stressed that confession should be made to God, not to one’s partner.
According to him, revealing an affair under the guise of honesty is actually a form of manipulation.
He explained:
“Never confess to cheating: here’s the hard truth. People always say you should ‘come clean’ after an affair, even quoting the Bible to justify it. But the reality is different—confession is to God, not your spouse. Telling your partner is not honesty; it’s manipulation. You’re only unloading guilt and sabotaging the relationship. It does nothing for them—all the benefit is yours.”
Meanwhile, veteran Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola has sparked fresh debate after urging Nigerians to embrace polygamy as part of cultural tradition.
Speaking in an interview with Biola Bayo, the 55-year-old actress noted that polygamy was once common in Yoruba households, where men often married multiple wives.
She argued that the current shortage of men makes it reasonable for two women to share one husband.
Akintola even shared the story of a woman who welcomed a second wife into her home to ease marital pressure caused by her husband’s high sexual demands.
In her view, many women willingly accept polygamy as a way of maintaining peace at home. She, however, advised parents who prefer monogamy to focus on raising boys with discipline and respect, as many men who cheat or embrace polygamy were never properly groomed from childhood.
