Former Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodimma on Special Duties, Nze Chinasa Nwaneri, has reportedly been arrested by the police in Owerri, Imo State. As per a report from Leadership, Nwaneri was apprehended by a special team of police detectives at RockView Hotel in Owerri on Saturday, May 18.
According to sources cited by the publication, Nwaneri was taken to the State Police Command headquarters and later returned to his hotel room under police escort. His room was thoroughly searched by police operatives before he was taken back to the command.
The reason for Nwaneri’s arrest remains unclear at the time of reporting. It’s noted that Nwaneri served as one of Uzodimma’s most trusted aides for over fifteen years before his recent departure.
In a separate incident, a football coach in Osogbo, Osun State, identified as Adebisi, was arrested by Department of State Security (DSS) operatives for allegedly attempting to commit sodomy with one of his players. The suspect was reportedly apprehended following a tip-off, and the victim, referred to as Michael, recounted the ordeal to authorities.
