A woman named Salisu Aishat, along with seven others, has been apprehended in connection with the death of an unidentified man in the Ijora Badia area of Lagos State.
According to PUNCH Metro, the incident occurred during Aishat’s birthday celebration on Olayemi Street, Ijora Badia. Guests were gathered to commemorate the occasion when the victim was discovered unconscious on the floor.
Upon closer inspection, it was observed that the victim had sustained a head injury, indicating possible foul play. The sudden turn of events threw the attendees into confusion, with speculation arising that the victim may have been injured during a fight that erupted during the party.
A concerned individual reported the incident to the police, prompting the authorities to launch an investigation. The celebrant, Salisu Aishat, and seven others were subsequently arrested by officers from the Ijora Badia Division.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed that the incident occurred around 9:10 pm on April 16, 2024. He stated that upon arrival at the scene, the police discovered the victim’s body with a wound on the head. The corpse was then taken to the Mainland Hospital morgue in Yaba for preservation and autopsy, while investigations into the matter continue
