Meanwhile, in another thrilling qualifier, Ghana’s Black Stars kept their qualification hopes alive with a 5–0 thrashing of the Central African Republic at the Ben M’Hamed El Abdi Stadium in El Jadida, Morocco.

Goals from Mohammed Salisu, Thomas Partey, Alexander Djiku, Jordan Ayew, and Kamaldeen Sulemana secured the emphatic win, keeping Ghana three points ahead of Madagascar at the top of Group I with a superior +16 goal difference.
