Ugochinyere, representing Ideato North/South Federal Constituency of Imo State, expressed confidence in Bichi’s abilities, stating that the lawmakers believe he will excel in his new legislative role.
According to Ugochinyere, Bichi’s extensive experience will contribute to the reform of the budget committee and elevate the appropriation process to the standards observed in developed countries.
He emphasized that Bichi’s previous role as Chairman of the Committee on Works in the 9th Assembly demonstrated his effectiveness in providing legislative support and overseeing critical road projects across the country.
Under Bichi’s leadership, projects such as the Lagos-Badagry Road, Abuja-Kano Road, Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano Road, among others, were successfully managed in collaboration with contractors and the Ministry of Works and Housing. Ugochinyere also praised the 9th House of Representatives, led by Hon.
Femi Gbajabiamila, for ending delays in the budget passage, and expressed confidence that with Bichi as Chairman of the Appropriation Committee, this positive momentum will continue, further enhancing the budgeting process in the country.
