The governor explained that the gravity of the choices he has to make in steering the state forward weighs heavily on him, compelling him to reflect deeply before taking action.

“I rarely sleep some nights due to the burden of decisions that must be made,” Mbah said. “There are moments I pause, not out of hesitation, but out of empathy for the people those decisions will impact.”

He emphasized his commitment to transforming Enugu State, acknowledging that meaningful progress often involves difficult and unpopular choices.

“Change doesn’t ask for permission—it demands persistence. We have chosen to prioritize action over comfort, and progress over popularity,” he stated. “Real transformation is never easy. It challenges us, resists us, and at times tests our resolve.”

Mbah added: “Leadership means constantly asking—how will this decision affect our people? Have we fully considered the consequences? Development doesn’t come with simple options.
