I Have My Own Mindset Like Jesus’ — Nancy Isime Sparks Reactions With Bold Statement

She made this known during a recent interview on Jay On-Air, where she discussed her perspective on faith and spirituality.

Isime explained that unlike some Christians who rely heavily on pastors or priests for spiritual direction, she prefers to rely on her personal conviction and intuition in her walk with God.

The actress also noted that she listens to respected preachers, including Apostle Joshua Selman, whom she described as one of her spiritual anchors.

She said, “I don’t serve mortals. So I don’t feel the need to perform for mortals. I always have a mind of my own. I do things my way and try to understand God personally.

“But of course, I have anchors whom I listen to, preachers like Apostle Joshua Selman. If you understand the kind of messages I listen to, you will understand where I am coming from. I am not your typical Nigerian Christian, and I don’t want to be. I have my own mindset just like Jesus.”

In other news, Nancy Isime recently shared emotional memories of her late colleague, Alex Ekubo, during his service of songs.

Paying tribute, she described him as a lively and humorous person who always knew how to make people laugh.

She recalled his playful nature, saying, “One thing nobody really talked about here is his bad mouth. Alex had a bad mouth,” referring to his habit of teasing friends.

She also shared how he gave her humorous nicknames, saying, “He used to call me ‘old 20 naira,’ the oldest. Even when I started making money and looking new, he still said, ‘No, you are still old 20 naira.’”

She added that his jokes remained constant, regardless of circumstances.
