I Lost It All: Nollywood Veteran Reveals How He Sold His House, Car and Moved In With Mother-in-law

Veteran Nollywood actor, Tito Harrison, has spoken candidly about the financial hardship he endured as a result of serious health issues.

In an emotional interview on Biola Bayo’s podcast, Harrison shared that his struggle with liver disease and a chronic ulcer left him bedridden and completely drained of resources.

The actor disclosed that to fund his medical treatment, he was forced to sell his house, vehicles, and nearly all of his possessions. Eventually, he and his family had no choice but to move into his mother-in-law’s home due to their inability to pay rent.

Through it all, Harrison praised his wife for being his unwavering pillar of support, calling her his greatest blessing. He recalled how she stayed with him through the worst moments when even close friends and colleagues turned their backs.

“When I was battling liver disease and a chronic ulcer, my wife never left me. I sold everything I had—my house, my car—to foot hospital bills. We moved to a rented apartment, but when I couldn’t afford rent anymore, we had to live with my mother-in-law. If I were to come back to this world, I would still marry her,” he said.

The actor also criticized members of the Nollywood community who, rather than show empathy, mocked his situation publicly.

“There was a time someone was interviewed, and he said, ‘Tito Harrison is finished; he’s now living in his wife’s mother’s house.’ Even if that were true, must you say it? If you can’t support me, at least don’t tarnish my image,” he lamented.
