In a recent interview, Solade admitted he lost his temper after accusing Afeez, who was the production manager at the time, of negligence. He expressed regret for the outburst and revealed that he had also discussed the matter with some of their colleagues before going public with his apology.

Reacting during an appearance on the African A-List podcast, Afeez Owo said he had accepted the apology in good faith, stressing that he would let the matter rest out of respect for Solade, whom he regards as an elder.

“After seeing his apology, I decided to let go. Even if he didn’t apologize, I wouldn’t hold it against him. To me, it’s like when an elder brother beats his younger brother; even if the elder is wrong, it’s often the younger who’s asked to apologize,” Afeez said.

He further explained that the misunderstanding arose while relocating the cast and crew from Ibadan to another location in a Fulani resettlement area. “As the production manager, it was my duty to cater to the needs of the actors and crew. I had asked everyone to inform me of what they needed so I could buy them along the way, but it seems Uncle Solade didn’t quite understand me. He got hungry and, in his frustration, slapped me,” Afeez recounted.
