If I Win, Tinubu Must Work With Me — Osifo Sparks Political Buzz

A presidential aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Stanley Osifo, has said President Bola Tinubu would work with him if he succeeds in defeating the incumbent at the party’s presidential primary ahead of the 2027 elections.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Osifo, who is challenging for the APC presidential ticket, stated that there was no division or conflict within the ruling party over the contest.

He made the remarks during an interview on Arise News.

Speaking on his chances against Tinubu, Osifo said only the outcome of the primary election would determine the true strength of his ambition.

According to him, being the incumbent president does not automatically guarantee victory in the race.

He said, “For chances I can’t really state or detect now, I think the day of the election will really tell the extent or the level of chance I have against him.

“Being an incumbent is not a guarantee that the election is going to go his way or my way, but one thing that is important is that we are one party and we are not fighting ourselves.”

The APC aspirant also stated that he would support Tinubu if the President eventually secures the party’s ticket.

Likewise, he insisted Tinubu should also support him if he emerges victorious in the primary election.

Osifo said, “We are members of the All Progressives Congress, so if I defeat him at the end of the day, I think he also has to work with me.

“And if he wins the same thing, I will work with him and support him. So we’re not fighting in the All Progressives Congress, it is one party, and I strongly believe that we have an understanding amongst ourselves as APC members.”

Osifo currently appears to be the only publicly known aspirant challenging Tinubu for the APC presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general election.

He maintained that despite the contest, the ruling party remains united.
