If You Want To Ruin PDP, Bring In Obi’ — Wike’s Explosive Video Warning

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has warned that ongoing talks about Peter Obi’s possible return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are harmful to the party’s stability.

Some PDP leaders are reportedly pushing to convince the former Anambra State governor to rejoin the party ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with hopes of positioning him as the PDP’s presidential candidate.

Confirming the move, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed and Senate Minority Leader Abba Moro both acknowledged in separate interviews that the party is making efforts to woo Obi back.

But during a media chat on Monday, September 1, Wike dismissed the idea as dangerous and hypocritical.

“Bring Obi to where? You want to kill the party even more? Some of these people have no character. Obi was the one abusing the party, saying it was rotten. Now the same party is suddenly good enough for him to run? Some people’s ambition can even take them to Satan’s house.

If you want to destroy this party, dare to bring Peter Obi back. There is nowhere he wouldn’t go because of ambition. Can’t we be principled? Or is it just about looking for a president?” Wike said.
