The IGP made this statement during a grand reception held in honor of prominent Yewa indigenes in Erinja, Yewa South local government of Ogun State over the weekend.
In addressing the emerging security issues affecting their communities, the IGP emphasized the importance of vigilance and security awareness.
He urged cooperation with the police and other law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and security of the people, highlighting the role they all play in creating safer communities that protect lives and property.
Furthermore, he encouraged young people to discourage violence and social vices that disrupt communal peace and security.
He urged them to redirect their energy towards productive endeavors that uplift society, recognizing their role as future leaders of their land.
During his address, the IGP expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reflected on the significance of returning to his hometown, Erinja, as conveyed by Force spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
