Reaffirming his unwavering loyalty to the PDP, Ikpeazu vowed never to defect, despite the recent wave of defections within the party. Speaking to PDP supporters from Abia South at his Umuobiakwa country home, he emphasized the need for collective effort to restore the party’s dominance.
Ikpeazu urged party members to stay dedicated and resilient during this challenging period, assuring them of his continued support for the PDP, which he credited for shaping his political career.
Addressing concerns over the defections that followed the PDP’s loss to the Labour Party in 2023, he encouraged members in Obingwa to remain focused and undistracted by the political shifts. While acknowledging the party’s current struggles, he expressed confidence that loyal members would be rewarded when the party regains its strength.
Ikpeazu also praised the leadership of the new State Working Committee, led by Abraham Amah, describing him as a leader capable of steering the party back to victory in 2027.
