The closed-door meeting signals a major political shift in the state, as Jandor confirmed his return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking to journalists after the encounter, Adediran congratulated Governor Sanwo-Olu on his re-election and praised his calm demeanor throughout the intense 2023 election season.
“Governor Sanwo-Olu is truly a gentleman. I admire his composure during the campaign. Amidst all the political tension, his calmness stood out and, in my opinion, was crucial to his victory,” Jandor said.
He explained that the visit followed his official return to his local government area last Friday and was both symbolic and strategic.
“After my local declaration, the next step was to pay a formal visit to the state’s top citizen to announce our return to the party. I am back to be with my family. Together, we will strengthen our collective efforts. We all know what happened during the last election — division in the house led to setbacks. Now, we are united and back stronger,” he stated.
Jandor described the visit as more than a political courtesy; it was a gesture of maturity and a call for unity beyond party lines for the benefit of Lagos State.
“Lagos deserves a political environment where leaders can collaborate constructively regardless of party affiliations. This gesture reflects the politics we need — one that puts the state’s development above personal or partisan interests,” he added.
