I’m Not A Fool!” — Datti Baba-Ahmed Accuses ADC Of Using Nigerians To Wage War Against APC
Former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, has asserted that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is unlikely to survive beyond its primary elections, predicting the party’s collapse once the contests fail to favour certain influential figures within its ranks.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Speaking on Channels Television on Friday, Baba-Ahmed argued that internal ambitions would tear the party apart, noting that disappointment among top politicians after the primaries would trigger its disintegration.
He further downplayed the political strength of the ADC, insisting that it lacks leaders of the stature of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari or President Bola Tinubu, whom he described as a highly strategic, focused and determined political force.
According to Baba-Ahmed, many of the individuals now championing the ADC are the same political actors who previously engineered the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said some of them had progressed as far as Senate screening before retreating, only to resurface and, in his view, attempt to mobilise Nigerians against the APC.
“I am not gullible,” he stated, adding that he has carefully examined the political histories of these figures and found their records uninspiring.
Baba-Ahmed also criticised what he described as recycled political structures, arguing that Nigerians are being misled into believing that simply rebranding familiar actors under a new party name would bring change.
He maintained that the ADC lacks the unifying leadership that once rallied political forces around Buhari or Tinubu, stressing that the political conditions and promises that enabled the 2015 coalition no longer exist.
He concluded that Nigerians are being asked to support a party formed by the same political figures they now regret empowering through the APC, warning that the ADC offers no genuine alternative.
