I’m Not Out Of Touch! Atiku Reacts To Age Jabs Over Youth Connection

He spoke during an interview with Arise News on Thursday, shortly after securing the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

During the interview, a journalist questioned whether his age might affect his appeal among young voters in Nigeria.

In response, Atiku rejected the suggestion, insisting that he maintains a strong bond with young people across the country.

He described Nigerian youths as being like his children, adding that his decision to run in the upcoming election is largely motivated by their interests.

“Why would I not resonate with Nigerian youths? They are my children. I am doing this because of them,” he said.

The former Vice President further stated that he is fully aware of the challenges facing young Nigerians and believes he still has a meaningful role to play in shaping the nation’s future.

In a related development, Atiku also noted that there is no cause for celebration yet, even after emerging as the ADC presidential flagbearer for the 2027 election.
