I’m Not Team Wike!’ Dakuku Peterside Publicly Aligns With Amaechi In Bold Statement

Speaking during Channels Television’s Politics Today program on Wednesday, the former All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant clarified his political stance, emphasizing his loyalty to Wike’s predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi.

“I am a friend of Rotimi Amaechi; I am not on the side of Nyesom Wike,” Peterside declared. He also mentioned his readiness to offer guidance to the current Rivers State governor, Sim Fubara, to help move the state forward.

“When Wike was governor, I consistently wrote open letters offering him advice. I’ve always been open with my views. If Governor Fubara seeks my counsel, I’m more than willing to provide it, just as I’ve done for other governors,” he added.

Meanwhile, Segun Showunmi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), remarked that Wike would have resolved the party’s ongoing crisis if he were actively involved. In an interview with Arise News on Sunday, the former PDP governorship aspirant in Ogun State described Wike as indispensable to the party, lamenting that the internal conflicts show no signs of resolution.
