This young boy gained notoriety on social media when he expressed his sorrow over the loss of his father and vowed to seek vengeance.
In a statement released by the Ministry’s Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Isah, in Gusau on Thursday, Dr. Nafisa Maraduna, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Children, and Social Development, affirmed this commitment during her meeting with the child and his mother at her office.
Commissioner Maraduna revealed that the initiative stemmed from the directive of Hajiya Huriya Lawal, the wife of the state governor, who wanted to ensure the child and his mother received the necessary support for an improved quality of life and essential counseling.
“The young boy will benefit from specialized counseling to enhance his emotional well-being and thought process, thereby preventing potential future issues,” stated the Commissioner.
Furthermore, she mentioned, “We have also provided capital to the child’s mother to establish a business, easing her hardships.”
The statement highlighted that both the boy and his mother expressed their gratitude to the governor’s wife for her compassionate gesture, with the mother additionally pledging her assistance in counseling the child.
