Held at the Abuja Continental Hotel, this meeting marked the third in a series of post-elections review sessions that the Commission organized with key players involved in the 2023 general elections.

The collation and returning officers, who predominantly consist of university professors, including many vice-chancellors, were present to contribute their insights.

Previously, the INEC boss and commissioners had met with representatives from various transport unions, with whom the Commission had collaborated during the 2023 elections.

The primary focus of that meeting was to evaluate the conduct of the transport unions and assess the implementation of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed with them for logistics support.

Today’s meeting, however, was dedicated to reviewing the overall conduct of the elections and documenting the experiences of the electoral officers who served as field supervisors during the process.
