INEC Declares Peter Obi Winner Cross River State
Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has won in Cross River State.
Obi, widely regarded as the election’s underdog, defeated All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Bola Tinubu, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar, and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso.
The final results, announced early Tuesday morning at the presidential election collation center in Cross River, showed that Obi received 179,917 votes, beating Tinubu’s 130,520 votes, Atiku’s 95,425 votes, and Kwankwaso’s 1,644 votes.
In Cross River, the presidential poll recorded 1,691,642 registered voters.
