In a statement released in Kaduna on Monday and signed by Hon. Nwigbarto G. Dumbari and Mrs. Omotosho Rashidat Ololade, Chairman and Secretary of the Forum respectively, they expressed concern over INEC’s recognition of Mr. Kenneth Obidiche Udeze as the party’s chairman, despite no record of him being elected through a national convention, a fact acknowledged by INEC.
The forum warned of potential legal action if INEC fails to respond within 48 hours, citing previous Supreme Court rulings and INEC’s acknowledgment that Udeze did not emerge from any officially monitored convention.
They highlighted Hon. Adekunle Rufai’s reelection at a national convention held in Abeokuta on October 7, 2023, which INEC reportedly monitored and validated. They urged INEC to respect this outcome and restore Hon. Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje’s leadership on the INEC portal without delay.
