In his analysis on Twitter, Rufai suggests that Wale Edun, a former Commissioner for Finance in Lagos state, may be appointed as Minister of Finance. He also predicts that Lateef Fagbemi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, could possibly be the Attorney General of the Federation. CONTINUE READING

Rufai mentions that it would be interesting if Betta Edu, who had previously served commendably as Health Commissioner in Cross River state, gets the Health portfolio. He adds that Prof. Muhammad Pate, a globally recognised health expert, would also be a good fit for the Ministry of Health.

As for the heavyweight ex-governors on the list, Bushradiogist has gathered that Nasir El-Rufai, Nyesom Wike, Badaru and David Umahi, are rumoured to be headed for the energy, transportation, agriculture and works ministries respectively.

However, these are just speculations as the official assignments of portfolios are yet to be announced by President Tinubu. Until then, Nigerians can only wait and hope for the best outcomes.
