Visually impaired mother, Agnes Forte, who lost her one-year-old daughter, Excel, on November 28, 2023, in Akowonjo, Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, has embraced a ray of hope with the arrival of a set of twins.

Agnes welcomed the twins in the early hours of Wednesday, marking a new chapter in her life, just four months after Excel’s disappearance. Excel was last seen in the company of her stepsister, Joy.

Recounting the unfortunate incident, Agnes mentioned that she was present in the room while 13-year-old Joy and Excel played in the apartment corridor. However, she lost track of them, and all efforts to locate them proved futile.

In a conversation with our correspondent, Agnes expressed gratitude for the safe delivery while maintaining optimism about finding her missing daughter.

“I thank God for the safe delivery and the blessing of twins. I am also hopeful that my missing daughter will be found,” Agnes remarked.

Despite the joyous occasion, the 32-year-old mother expressed concerns over unsettled hospital bills, which have resulted in a prolonged stay at the hospital.

“I have not been able to settle my hospital bills. That is why I have been here since Wednesday. My husband has been trying, but he is yet to raise the money. The hospital management told us to get the money, or they will ask us to sleep on the floor due to bed space,” she explained.

Agnes’s journey reflects a blend of hope and challenges, as she navigates through the complexities of motherhood amid personal adversity.
