Investigation Launched Into Reported Drowning Of Military Cadet In Abia hotel

The Abia State Police Command has initiated investigations into the reported drowning of an Air Force personnel at a prominent hotel in Umuahia, the state capital. Police Public Relations Officer, Moureen Chinaka, confirmed that the Central Police Station in Umuahia is actively looking into the incident.

When approached for comment, the hotel receptionist refrained from providing information. She stated that the hotel’s management team, including the manager, was currently engaged in an investigation and advised revisiting for updates the following day.

According to social media reports, the deceased, whose identity remains undisclosed, allegedly drowned in the hotel’s swimming pool while it was under renovation. The Abia State Fire Service reportedly recovered the body and rushed it to the Federal Medical Centre in Umuahia, where the individual was pronounced dead.

As investigations continue, the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident are being examined by authorities.
