Investigation Urged By Cross River Assembly Into Corps Member Disappearances In Anambra

The assembly passed this resolution on Thursday, July 18, 2024, directing the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Director-General of the NYSC to promptly investigate the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

Mr. Okon Owuna, representing Akamkpa 1 constituency, brought forth the motion, highlighting that Ojong, a native of Akamkpa Local Government Area, had been missing since February 18, 2024. She was serving in Awka, Anambra, after completing her education at the College of Health Technology, Calabar.

Owuna emphasized that despite being expected to finish her service in March, Ojong vanished while en route to her primary assignment in Awka. The assembly members expressed deep concern over the situation and stressed the urgency of conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
