Jigawa: Families Of Slain Police Officers Receive N19.9 Million Cheques

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Emmanuel Ekot, presided over the presentation of these cheques to the beneficiaries in Dutse.
This financial support was made possible through the Group Life Insurance and Family Welfare Scheme, a program initiated by the acting Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun.
The scheme aims to provide substantial assistance to the families of officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their country.
During the presentation, Commissioner Ekot stressed the importance of ensuring that the funds are used effectively to support the beneficiaries.
He also noted that 14 beneficiaries were initially identified to receive a total of N59,753,402.84, but only six of them were present to collect their cheques.
Ekot commended the bravery and sacrifices of the officers who lost their lives and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to the welfare of its personnel.
Beneficiaries, Zubairu Muhammad and Kefas Ishaku, expressed their gratitude for the financial support, highlighting its positive impact on their lives during a challenging period.
