They believe Osimhen could greatly enhance Manchester United’s attacking prowess.
In an interview with AfricaFoot, Martins expressed his confidence in Osimhen’s abilities, highlighting that his arrival could transform United’s scoring approach.
“If he joins this team, it would bring a significant change, especially in their goal-scoring efficiency,” Martins said. “His combination of speed, power, and exceptional finishing makes him one of Europe’s top strikers, consistently delivering stellar performances.”
Currently playing on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, Osimhen has been in outstanding form this season, scoring 13 goals in 16 appearances. His impressive performances have attracted interest from several top European clubs.
Yobo also believes Manchester United would be the perfect fit for Osimhen, pointing to his pivotal role in helping Napoli secure their first Serie A title in 33 years last season.
“In my view, it’s a perfect match. Victor and Manchester United would complement each other seamlessly, and I am confident he would thrive if he joins,” Yobo told AfricaFoot.
He acknowledged United’s recent struggles but emphasized their enduring legacy as one of the top football clubs in the world.
“Despite their transitional challenges, Manchester United remains a top-tier club, and that status is unlikely to change anytime soon,” he added.
It is worth noting that Osimhen recently turned down a transfer to United for January, which prompted a response from Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis. “If that’s the case, he can stay at Galatasaray. Perhaps Galatasaray should consider keeping Osimhen,” De Laurentiis said, according to La Repubblica.
Osimhen has reaffirmed his commitment to Galatasaray for the rest of the season. “I will not be leaving in January; I am fully dedicated to Galatasaray until the season ends,” he told reporters after Galatasaray’s Europa League match against Tottenham Hotspur in December.
“I’m not sure about any ongoing talks between Galatasaray and Napoli, but if discussions arise, I’m open to them. I truly enjoy my time at Galatasaray.”
