Written By Oshiobugie John– President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to visit Enugu State on Saturday, January 4, 2025, to commission several transformative projects spearheaded by Governor Peter Mbah’s administration.

This was revealed in a statement issued on Friday by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia.

“The Enugu State Government is delighted to welcome His Excellency, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on his maiden state visit to Enugu,” Onyia announced.

Highlighting the significance of the visit, Onyia noted, “During this historic occasion, the President will commission key infrastructure projects completed by our administration. These include 30 fully equipped Enugu Smart Green Schools—part of an ambitious initiative to construct 260 schools across all wards in the state—and 60 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres out of the 260 under development statewide.”

Other notable projects slated for commissioning are the state-of-the-art Enugu International Conference Centre, 90 newly completed urban roads in Enugu City, and a high-tech Command and Control Centre, bolstered by 150 patrol vehicles equipped with AI-driven surveillance cameras.

In addition to these urban advancements, President Tinubu will inaugurate several completed rural road projects, underscoring the administration’s commitment to inclusive development across the state.

The visit signifies a pivotal moment for Enugu State, as Governor Mbah’s administration showcases its strides in infrastructure and innovation under the national spotlight.
