In a judgment that lasted approximately five hours, delivered in Ilorin on Thursday, Justice Salman stated that these offenses are capital crimes, warranting a death sentence. Consequently, she sentenced the defendants to death by hanging.
The robbery took place on April 5, 2018, in Offa, where the armed robbers executed a series of gun attacks in the vicinity of a bank, resulting in the deaths of 39 individuals, including pregnant women and police officers.
