Delivering the judgement, Justice Kawu held that the claimants failed to establish any valid legal basis or demonstrate the likelihood of irreparable harm that would justify stopping the rollout.

With the suit dismissed, the Federal Government, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and the National Assembly are cleared to proceed with the implementation of the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 as planned from January 1, 2026.
