This move follows a court declaration naming him the winner of the election in his senatorial district, overturning the victory initially awarded to the PDP by INEC. Lalong, the former Governor of Plateau State, is currently awaiting President Tinubu’s acceptance of his resignation to assume his elected position as the Senator for Plateau South Senatorial District.
It is noteworthy that political figures had advised the former governor to step down from his ministerial post to avoid potential removal by President Tinubu.
