Kaduna Breathes Again As Electricity Returns After 5 Days In Darkness

Following several days of blackout, Kaduna Electric Distribution Company has restored electricity across its franchise areas, including Kaduna, Zamfara, Sokoto, and Kebbi states.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The restoration came after a meeting on Friday between the Kaduna State government, the management of Kaduna Electric, and the two in-house labour unions at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House. During the meeting, all parties agreed that power should be restored immediately.

A statement released after the meeting revealed that both sides had committed to reviewing previous actions and collaborating to reach an amicable resolution.

According to a source, Governor Uba Sani served as a mediator, assuring both parties of a fair and balanced approach. He commended the unions for their cooperation, while the unions, in turn, praised Kaduna Electric’s management, led by Dr. Umar Abubakar Hashidu, for their leadership.

The resolution was officially signed by representatives from Kaduna Electric, the National Union of Electricity Employees, and the Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies, leading to the restoration of power on Saturday night.
