Speaking at a meeting with political parties and stakeholders in Kaduna, Hajara Mohammed noted that the current council members, who were sworn into office on November 1, 2021, will conclude their three-year tenure on October 31, 2024.

“KAD-SIECOM is tasked with organizing elections for chairpersons, vice-chairpersons, and councillors across the state. In accordance with Section 25(1) of the KAD-SIECOM Law 2024, we hereby inform the public that the LGA council elections will take place in Kaduna on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 8 am to 4 pm,” stated Mohammed.

She added, “The election timetable and guidelines for 2024 have been issued today, Tuesday, July 16, 2024. KAD-SIECOM is fully prepared to conduct the elections on the scheduled date.”
