The forthcoming donor projects coordination office, operating under the governor’s purview, will be overseen by the Special Adviser on International Donor Agencies.
This office will assume the pivotal responsibilities of coordination and acting as a focal point for donor-related initiatives.
The establishment of this office resonates with the government’s enthusiasm to achieve specific objectives. These objectives encompass the enhancement of resource mobilization, allocation, harmonization, and utilization to prevent redundancies and excessive beneficiary claims. Additionally, the initiative aims to foster collaborations and investments in projects dedicated to social, communal, and human capital development.
It will also involve meticulous scrutiny of project spending approvals, timely provision of counterpart funding, bolstering inclusive governance at the community level, strategic data collection and analysis, and effective interaction with relevant government agencies and community structures to ensure successful implementation of donor-driven, people-oriented interventions.
Governor Nasir Idris highlighted the strategic significance of this creation, underscoring the administration’s earnest dedication to the development sector.

Yakubu Bala, the Secretary to the State Government, represented by Ufyanu Garba Bena, the Head of Civil Service, assured participants that the government is committed to devising effective modalities that will ensure the mutually beneficial outcome of all partnerships for the people’s welfare.
Dr. Usman Buhari Ali Gwandu, the Special Adviser to the Governor on International Donor Agencies, called for a comprehensive review of the activities, policies, and frameworks of development partners to optimize their impact.
