Kevin Hart Legal Battle Takes New Twist As Former Assistant Targets Montia Sabbag

Published

Kevin Hart’s former assistant, Miesha Shakes, is seeking testimony from Montia Sabbag, the woman involved in the comedian’s 2017 sex tape controversy, as part of an ongoing legal dispute between Shakes and Hart.

According to Bush Radio Academy, court documents cited in the case indicate that Shakes wants to question Sabbag about the incident and the investigation that followed.

Sabbag previously filed a $60 million lawsuit against Hart in 2019, alleging that she was recorded having sex without her consent. Hart denied the allegations, and the case was later dismissed.

The controversy has now resurfaced in the legal battle involving Hart and his former assistant. Hart has accused Shakes of violating a non-disclosure agreement by discussing aspects of his personal life during an interview with a blogger.

Shakes, however, disputes the allegations and maintains that Hart failed to fulfil certain obligations under the agreement. She has also argued that the agreement should be considered invalid.

Hart claims that Shakes’ comments damaged his reputation. The former assistant has rejected that argument, contending that the comedian’s public image had already been affected by his own actions and pointing to the 2017 controversy involving Sabbag as an example.

Shakes has indicated that she intends to testify in the case and also wants Hart to appear as a witness.

The request for Sabbag’s testimony could bring renewed attention to the controversy that surrounded Hart several years ago as the legal dispute with his former assistant continues.

The case remains ongoing, and the latest developments are part of the continuing legal proceedings between Hart and Shakes.
