Kidnapped Victim Freed After Revealing Captors’ Identity At Kaduna Military Post
Mercy Ishaya, a 25-year-old woman, has regained her freedom after bravely identifying her kidnappers, who had taken her from the New Bwari community in Tafa Local Government Area, Niger State.
According to Daily Trust, Ishaya was abducted on August 28, 2024, while her father, Godiya Ishaya, a businessman, was severely injured and left unconscious.
Fortune turned in Ishaya’s favor when soldiers intercepted a Toyota Sienna carrying the bandits as they fled from a security operation in Dogon-Daji Forest, Kagarko Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
A relative of Ishaya revealed that upon the vehicle’s stop, she immediately informed the soldiers of her abduction and provided her father’s phone number. She was subsequently taken to a hospital for medical attention before being reunited with her family, while the suspects were detained at a military barracks in Kaduna.
