Labor Minister Ngige dismisses Notion Of Buhari Administration As A failure

Speaking to journalists during a palliative distribution event in Alor, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Ngige asserted the authenticity of his faction as the true APC in Anambra, downplaying reports of internal strife within the party. He acknowledged the existence of two factions in the state but attributed it to the influx of new members since 2021, asserting that the newcomers have yet to fully integrate with the old members who have been loyal to the party through various incarnations.

Ngige addressed the political landscape in Anambra, expressing confidence that the APC would emerge victorious in the 2025 governorship race, despite setbacks in the 2021 election. He stressed the inevitability of disagreements in politics but remained optimistic about the party’s prospects, pledging that efforts would be made to solidify the party’s position in the coming years.

Regarding his future plans, Ngige hinted at a decision to be made at the end of his sabbatical leave, which concludes in May. Meanwhile, he pledged continued support to the citizens, promising additional distributions of essential food items such as bags of garri and cartons of tomatoes. Ngige attributed the increased distribution to the prevalent challenges faced by many, including the impact of banditry and flooding on the previous farming season, leading to heightened food insecurity in Anambra State. The former minister clarified that the recipients of the aid included APC members, people living with disabilities, and the elderly across all 21 Local Government Areas of Anambra State.
